Dugga Dugga
It brings me immense pleasure to share that I, along with 24 other bloggers are celebrating #9daysofwomanhood throughout Navratri. I thank Neha Sharma for introducing me. I loved her blog http://growingwithnemit.com on the prompt for today Woman in India in 2017, a positive take
2017 is but a number that is oblivious to the year it represents, for I wasn't raised a girl.
I was given a life with a wail. It was with that wail that I found a voice.
I was given a quill so I write my own stories.
Gender what gender?
I am my own person.
I am in this labyrinth, to form my own possibilities.
To crash, IF I must,
To burn, IF I must,
To rise a Phoenix from the ashes, BECAUSE I must,
I AM an individual.
I am not coy, I laugh a riot.
I enter a temple even when I am on my chums.
I like my body and worry not about its shape.
I eat and worry not about my weight.
I like my skin. Dusky is a colour and I accept it and appreciate it.
I am my own kind of beautiful.
I wear a bra without much bothering about the straps and IF they want to peek at world around me, they do.
I travel because I want to grow.
I do not label myself, for I will NOT be owned. I own myself and I own what I do.
I nuture and I nest, but not at the cost of my self-respect.
I feed in public because by my baby needs food.
I AM Sita but I am ALSO Kali.
